Ian Brown began his TV writing career with contributions to ‘Not The Nine O’clock News’, since then his many credits have included ‘Drop The Dead Donkey’, ‘Have I Got News For You’, and ‘The Last Resort With Jonathan Ross’, of which he was resident writer.

With James Hendrie, Ian was one of the original writers of ‘My Family’, the first British comedy to be team-written in the US style. They eventually became the show’s Executive Producer/Showrunners, a role they also fulfilled on another successful studio sitcom, ‘After You’ve Gone’.
