J Blakeson is a London based screenwriter and director. After several years of writing scripts for various production companies, J wrote and directed his debut feature The Disappearance Of Alice Creed which was produced by Adrian Sturges for CinemaNX. The film starred Gemma Arterton and Eddie Marsan and was released worldwide to critical acclaim in 2010.

Currently J is working on a number of projects as director or writer/director. These include an adaptation of the best-selling SF novel Wool (for Fox 2000 and producers Ridley Scott and Steve Zaillian) and crime thriller Bad Blood And Trouble (for MRC and producers Adrian Sturges and Michael DeLuca).
