In 2008 Justin was featured in Screen International’s Stars of Tomorrow line-up.  Prior to this he worked as an actor, director’s assistant and story editor, latterly for Working Title Films, where he worked alongside an array of A-List writers and directors.  Inspired by their example, Justin wrote, photographed, directed and edited his first short film, Timekilling, in 2006/7.

He acquired an agent and a commission and left WT to start a full-time writing and directing career.  Shorts Life:XP and Unborn (EIFF 2008) followed, as well as commissions for UKFC, Ruby Films and Film4. In 2009 Justin created a series of shorts for Bacardi – True Originals made its debut online in 2010. In 2011 he worked as co-head writer on re-launching the classic children’s character Peter Rabbit as a CGI action-adventure show for Nickleodeon. In 2012 he wrote the action caper Desire for Ridley Scott Associates.  The film, starring Damien Lewis with music by Lana Del Ray, launched the new Jaguar F-Type, opening the Sundance Film Festival London edition in April 2013.

In early 2014 Justin completed Narcopolis, his feature film debut, which he co-produced as well as writing and directing. The film, a futuristic thriller starring Jonathan Pryce, Elliot Cowan and Elodie Yung, was financed 100% independently and has since been picked up by leading UK distributor Altitude and is being sold by XYZ Films in North America.

Alongside writing and directing, Justin has been invited to speak several times at the WIFT Incubator in Toronto as well as 25 Words Or Less development schemes in Australia and South Africa.
