Robert began his career in television at Kudos Productions in 1997. Following roles script editing and developing at Stormy Pictures, Darrall McQueen and BBC Drama (in-house), he started as Development Editor at Channel 4 in 2007.

Robert became Head of Development at C4 in 2008, overseeing development on a number of projects including ‘The Red Riding Trilogy’, ‘The Devil’s Whore’, ‘Endgame’, ‘The Unloved’, ‘The Shooting of Thomas Hurndhall’, ‘Poppy Shakespeare’, ‘This Is England 88’ and ‘MO’.

In 2009, Robert became a Commissioning Editor for Drama at Channel 4, and has been the exec producer on ‘Cast Offs’, ‘Sirens’, ‘Beaver Falls’, ‘Misfits’, ‘The Promise’, ‘Any Human Heart’ and upcoming drama ‘Top Boy’.
