With years of experience working in script development, and working within a variety of facets within production, Steven is now where he feels most at home; working with writers.
After starting his career at financier Future Films, Steven went on to work with sales agents, distributors and independent producers in the film and TV worlds. Each successive role brought him closer to working with writers and their scripts.
Having developed and script edited a number of film and TV projects, he first forged a link with his partner Christina at Loves Me Not Films when asked to work on their adaptation of Ronan Bennett’s debut novel ‘The Catastrophist’, now set up with Nick Broomfield to direct.
Whilst managing LMNF’s small production slate, in early 2011 he launched Loves Me Not Scripts. This is a service aimed at providing focused development management for writers and their projects. Thanks to their extensive contacts, LMNS works to introduce their screenwriting clients with producers and agents, pitching projects, outlining remits and sourcing commissions. Because writing is good, but getting paid to write is better, obviously.
