with Kate Leys
In a session that defies description as there is simply too much good stuff to list, story editor and industry heavyweight Kate Leys delivers a brain dump of everything that she knows that you should know too.
Her session has been oversubscribed at EVERY previous festival, and year-on-year it’s been voted as one of the top three sessions of the LSF. Do not miss it!
In her informal presentation she will live by the principle she works to: that everything truly important there is to know about screenwriting can be written on a fistful of post-it notes. But they’re great post-it notes! So she’ll give you lists, tips, information, thoughts, quotes and ways of doing things – some longer and discursive, some short and sweet, some ‘top tens’, and as usual a lot of questions and answers along the way. She will cover story, film storytelling, developing your own story, finding your voice, her personal list of the top ten things that go wrong, the three most important questions to ask your script, writing for the market, networking – and a ton of other good stuff.
