- The Advanced Mentoring Labs Applications Open 28th July
- The Advanced Mentoring Labs Applications Close 13th Aug
Returning to LSF’14, Dave Reynolds will again run his uber successful advanced mentoring lab for writers who have a great family film but want to take it to the next level.
Dave has written a mountain of Hollywood comedy / family films and was a staff writer at Pixar, working on Finding Nemo, Toy Story 2 and A Bugs Life. He is currently working with Steve Carell writing Brooklyn Family Robinson for a Hollywood studio.
The six selected writers for this lab will undergo an intense writing ‘lock-in’ with Dave over the LSF weekend. If you are selected you will also be expected to read ALL six projects in this lab, as will Dave.
There will also be an online ‘meet-up’ before AND after the festival so that we can begin work before the lab and continue it beyond the LSF. We want the group to bond and offer a continued support network.
And what you should know about Dave is this. He is a total rockstar who will inspire, push you and really commit to making a change in your writing and career. Expect competition for the six slots to be high, so only submit when your work is the best that it can be.
OK to be considered you will need to submit:
- A synopsis for for your film.
- The full screenplay as a PDF.
- Supporting statement about you and the project, giving context
- A writing CV (not sure what goes here? Check out this post HERE)
