Perennial favourites with sometimes niche and often mainstream audiences, the rom-com and the horror like most genres are here to stay. But how can you innovate a genre to give audiences something new? And should you try to innovate when you’re trying to break into the industry?

This session will use exercises, paradigms and case studies to help you explore genre in new and refreshing ways.
