Every year, about four to six weeks before the festival, we hold a production meeting for the whole team. This year it was a mix of in-person at the studios in Ealing and on Zoom. And what a riot we had.
Having run the festival about fifteen times now, this does feel a little bit like Groundhog Day, but it’s also an opportunity to revisit everything we learned from the previous year and implement new technology, ideas, structures, and ways of doing things.
A large part of the conversation this year centered around streaming and how we’re going to deliver four concurrent streams, as well as integrating new technology for the whole on-stage experience.
It’s great to reconnect with old faces like Bob, Amy, Oli and Lisa, who runs the PitchFest, as well as invite some of the new team members like Max, Gabe, and Heather.
Expect to see us all at the festival, and I will see you on stage in Tuke Hall on the first day of the London Screenwriters Festival!
