Barkha’s most recent feature film work includes; ‘Safar Mein Sheher’ directed by Mazhar Kamran as well as playing the role.of Nishtha Kashyap in ‘The Seventh String’ directed by Baharul Islam for Flying Seagull Productions. Her radio work includes playing the role of Shameen in ‘Moorgate’, directed by Liz Anstee for BBC Radio 4. Barkha graduated with an MA in Theatre Lab from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. Barkha is currently working on a devised production called ‘Unsewn’ using magical realism to explore the oppressions faced by women from different parts of the world. They find strength and solidarity through the mystical powers of fierce Indian Goddesses.
