I’m just keen to hear pitches and meet new writers, I’ll be giving feedback and advise where I can. Best placed to assess genre projects (action, horror, sci-fi, adventure), interesting/quirky biopics, and anything that feels like it might have international co-production potential. Projects that are first or second feature in scale would also be good, but very happy to hear anything in those spaces mentioned.
Isaac “ICEY” Tomiczek is a multi-disciplined writer, director, and education professional working in film, TV, and theatre. His work fuses crowd-pleasing and thought-provoking entertainment with the lived experiences of his diverse and distinctive upbringing.
Isaac has written two episodes of SPELLBOUND, a YA series for Hulu. In 2022, his script TWO BECOME ONE made The Brit List with twelve mentions, and his play VAR (very audible racism) was named runner-up for the Ambassador Theatre Group Playwright’s Prize.
He has original projects in development with Joi Productions, Urban Myth Films, Other Productions, Elation, and Tedium Entertainment.
As a member of Stockroom Writers’ Room, Isaac’s theatre productions include Blaccine: First Dose and Alice in Wonderland.
In 2022, he earned a place on the Victor Adebodun Foundation mentorship scheme, where he was mentored by Fiona Lamptey, while head of UK Film at Netflix. Currently, he is being mentored by director Yann Demange.
Isaac has a strong collaborative partnership with writer Jon Barton, their scripts have twice been finalists for Screencraft screenplay competitions, and they have been awarded Isle of Man Arts Council film funding for their short film BLOCKBUSTER BOYS.
Isaac received an Emerging Talent Award at the New Renaissance Film Festival for his short film TAYLOR. The film won “Best LGBTQ+ Film” at London Rocks Film Festival 2022, and best performance awards at Brighton Rocks Film Festival in 2022.
In 2020, Isaac’s short film VACANT BASS was commissioned by Channel 4’s Random Acts as part of their Black and Proud season. He also directed the short film I JUST STABBED SOMEONE for BBC iPlayer’s ‘Sparks’ series.
His notable selections include Film London’s Breaking the Glass Ceiling, BFI Network 2021, BFI Network x Bafta Crew, a JBA awardee, and one of twenty international writers chosen for the UGC writers campus at Series Mania in Lille.

Isaac is a prominent figure for POCC, a collective dedicated to enhancing the experiences of people of colour within the creative industries. Additionally, he devises and teaches workshops for Met Film School, The Prince’s Trust, Iconic Steps and London Film Academy.
His music video work has earned him a large YouTube following with clients including Universal, Sony, Beats By Dre, and Ministry Of Sound. In 2015, his video for Sam Feldt’s “Show Me Love” came 2nd on Promo News’ most viewed list (behind Beyoncé).
His plays have been selected by Vaults, Talawa, Arcola, Southwark Playhouse, Stratford Arts, Bush, and Tamasha.
