About Katie
Katie has been an agent at GHA for 8 years, representing a list of writers, showrunners and directors across TV drama, comedy, animation and feature films. Before joining GHA as an assistant, she spent two years working as an actor’s agent at Gielgud Management, before joining United Agents, working in the Film, TV and Theatre department. Katie started out in theatre, specialising in producing new writing and musical theatre.
What Katie is looking for
I’m always excited by versatile writers who can deftly tread multiple genres and markets. Ultimately the writing that makes my heart sing is stuff that makes me laugh – even in drama, I love a sparky injection of humour. In a crowded market it’s really important to have noisy scripts – worlds, ideas and points of view that haven’t been seen or done before, or something familiar with a brand new angle. Commercial, but not derivative!
