Philip Hughes brings extensive industry experience spanning multiple facets of film and television.
In the 1990s, he served as Head of Fiction for the MEDIA Programme’s development fund before transitioning to full-time screenwriting from 2000-2012. His writing credits include the feature films “Thunderpants” (Pathé, 2002) and “I Want Candy” (Ealing Studios 2007), as well as episodes of BBC’s “The Queen’s Nose.”
He has collaborated with director Peter Hewitt on numerous scripts for European and US production companies. Currently, Hughes serves as Course Leader for the BA(Hons) Film & Screen degree at Regent’s University, London, while continuing his work as a script editor.
He is the co-athor of “Character is Structure: The Insiders Guide To Screenwriting” with Ted Wilkes.
