Gathering Storm Films is a UK-based IP development company, who recently joined forces with Ticked Pink Creative Development, & LA partner Sarah Coursey to developing premium scripted drama for television and streaming platforms. Collaborating with top international writers, directors and talent to develop compelling globally resonant stories.
Sarah acquired the rights to the booker nominated, whitbread prize award winning ENGLISH PASSENGERS, in development with screen writer GUY ANDREWS (Victoria, Lost in Austen) & is currently developing a slate of drama series – psychological thrillers, drama-comedy & period drama. Sarah’s credits include HOTEL PORTOFINO (SKY, PBS, ITV), THE FEAR INDEX, (Sky), UNTAMED – under the UK/CHINA treaty, Nancy Spielberg’s ABOVE & BEYOND & feature film RED MERCURY.
What we’re looking for:
1. High end / glossy drama & returning drama series
2. Ideally female led with a strong hook
3. Contemporary rather than period
4. Stories for a British audience with a global reach
5. Complex, emotionally layered characters
6. A voice with a fresh, unique approach
7. Don’t think small
8. Genres include: drama / drama-comedy / thrillers / mystery
9. Not looking for horror, sci-fi or pure fantasy (latter can have some elements in a drama)
