Joe was born in London. He studied Film and Television production at Westminster University. His 1st broadcast credit was an episode of E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2012. In 2013 his spec script Invasion came third on the Brit List and he also featured as one of Screen International’s ‘Stars of Tomorrow’ and on Tracking Board’s ‘Hot and Hungry’ list of top emerging screenwriters in Hollywood.

Invasion is in development with Film4 with Antonio Campos attached to direct. His three-part mini-series Our World War won an RTS Award and was BAFTA nominated. He has written episodes of Humans, Cuffs and the upcoming Troy: Fall of a City for Netflix and the BBC. His first film, iBoy, was released in February by Netflix and he has the feature films Mercy (starring Ellen Page and Kate Mara) and The Ritual (starring Rafe Spall) coming out later this year.

He is developing projects with Sky, Working Title and HBO and his first original series, an 8 part crime drama titled Giri/Haji, has been greenlit by the BBC and Netflix and is due to start shooting next year. He lives in London and Brighton and is represented by Independent Talent, WME and Grandview Management.
