Will Gilbey made his first feature ‘Reckoning Day’ with his brother and collaborator, Julian. [Credited as 2nd Unit Director.]
Will then went on to co-write, edit and direct the second unit on ‘Rollin’ With The Nines’ which won the Best Film Jury Prize at the Raindance Film Festival in 2005, and a BAFTA nomination for Julian.
The Gilbey’s next film was the British gangster thriller ‘Rise Of The Footsoldier’ which achieved huge commercial success both domestically and worldwide. Will not only co-wrote the screenplay with Julian, but was also again the film’s editor and 2nd Unit Director.
Working independently, Will directed the multi-award winning short film ‘Father’s Day’ which earned him nominations for Best Director and Best Editor at the Los Angeles Reel Film Festival.
Will’s latest project is ‘A Lonely Place To Die’, and is credited as Writer/Editor/2nd Unit Director.
