Tammy Riley-Smith shapes new screenwriting talent while crafting award-winning films that span from Working Title classics to independent features.
Tammy brings thirty years of industry experience to her role as senior screenwriting tutor at the National Film and Television School.
Her career began in development at Working Title Films, where she contributed to iconic British films including Four Weddings and a Funeral, Elizabeth, and The Interpreter. As a writer-director, her short film Ain’t Misbehavin’ screened at Cannes and London Film Festivals, winning the Kodak Short Film Prize.
Her feature directorial debut Delicious, starring Louise Brealey and Adrian Scarborough, premiered at Busan International Film Festival, while her film Lady M garnered ten festival awards. Since 2019, she has led the NFTS Certificate Course in Screenwriting: Finding Your Voice.
Currently, Tammy is developing You Me Cyprus with producer Jack Tarling and director Chris Foggin, while also writing the Christmas romantic comedy Cold Turkey.
