Volunteer At LondonSWF
Most festivals have Volunteers. Some have Stewards. At LondonSWF, we have Superheroes.
They look like regular people, but every one of them has a secret Superhero identity, and if you’re lucky, they might share it with you. They bring the energy, passion, and creativity that make LSF unforgettable, and here’s the magic: spend a little time with them, and that spirit starts to rub off on you too.
Whimsical? Maybe. But we’re storytellers and dreamers, so why not build a world where anything is possible? Our hope is that every Superhero takes what they learn at LSF and uses it to uplift others and spark extraordinary change in their own lives and communities.

Volunteer Roles
- Registration
Be the first friendly face delegates see, check people in, hand out lanyards and welcome packs, answer questions, and help everyone get off to a great start. - Room Manager
Lead the team in a session room: welcome the speaker, manage timings, introduce the session, and keep things running smoothly from start to finish. - Room Volunteer
Support the Room Manager by greeting delegates at the door, helping people find seats, mic runner, and answering any quick questions. - Monitoring Livestream (requires technical proficiency)
Watch our livestreamed sessions in real time to make sure the picture and sound stay strong, and flag any issues to the tech team straight away. - Accessibility Volunteer
Support delegates with access needs throughout the festival, helping with seating, guiding people around the venue, and making sure everyone has a great experience. - Production Office Runner
Be the go-to helper for the production team: collecting and delivering items around the venue, ensuring refreshments are well stocked and maintained, running errands, and keeping things moving behind the scenes. - Managing Camera, Audio & Video Streaming (requires technical proficiency)
Operate cameras, sound desks, and streaming equipment during sessions to capture and broadcast our content to a professional standard. - Speaker PowerPoint Management (requires technical proficiency)
Look after speakers’ slide decks: load presentations onto the session laptops, cue them up, and advance slides during the talk if needed.
